情态动词表示"能、可以、必须、应该"，后面永远接动词原形。
◆ 常用情态动词
· can（能够；会）：She can speak three languages.
could 是 can 的过去式，也用于委婉请求：Could you help me?
· may（可以；可能）：May I come in?（我可以进来吗？）
· must（必须；一定）：You must wear the school uniform.
· should（应该）：You should eat more vegetables.
· have to（不得不，受客观条件限制）：I have to stay at home because of the rain.
◆ must 的两个考点
1. 回答 Must I...? 时，否定用 needn't / don't have to（不必），不用 mustn't：
— Must I finish it today? — No, you needn't.（不必。）
mustn't = 禁止！You mustn't smoke here.（此处禁止吸烟。）
2. must 表推测"一定"：The light is on. He must be at home.（灯亮着，他一定在家。）
